Band members![]() Jack Andersson trumpet Lasse Karlsson clarinet Hans Ingelstam trombone Caesar piano, vocal Anders Rudnert/Karl Kronqvist bass Anders Lagerlöf drums Jack Andersson is a well educated trumpeter and music director. He is also working as a trumpet teacher at the Music School of Helsingborg. He used to play symphony as well as theatre music, but nowadays he mostly sticks to jazz, playing in big bands and temporary assignments in Danish jazzbands besides Jazzin’ Jacks. Lasse Karlsson playes the clarinet with Jazzin’ Jacks as well as other reed instruments with different swing groups. He is the lead singer and the announcer of the band. He is besides playing also working as a management consultant with his own business as a flexible platform. Hans Ingelstam, trombone and leader of Jazzin’ Jacks, is primarily an ensemble man, although he has started to do some solo numbers and singing in recent years. He is also working as a PR consultant. He has his own Evergreen Quartet as a small scale complement and is also a member of bands like Prez Agency, New Optimus Orchestra and Svensk Ramelorkester (playing Swedish jazz music composed by Povel Ramel). Caesar has a common name (Gunnar Andersson) but he prefers to be called just Caesar. As a full time pianist and singer he sometimes needs to be replaced by a substitute. He is adding a lot to Jazzin’ Jacks, especially his blues and ballad interpretations. And there is a lot more to come… Anders Rudnert is a well educated bass player, who spent some decades with Malmö Symphonic Orchestra besides a number of well recognized jazz bands in Sweden and Denmark. Anders and Karl Kronqvist are alterating as bass players in Jazzin’ Jacks. Karl Kronqvist is a bass player with his heart in the New Orleans style and he is also familiar with the dixieland, mainstream and swing styles. He playes together with Caesar in Ronald Andersens Special Edition and, among other bands, his own New Orleans style Krons Jazzband. Anders Lagerlöf on drums started his musical career with the army and besides that as a rock drummer. Apart from a higher musical education he spent a number of years with a modern jazz quartet called Nexus, touring in Canada and many parts of Europe. He has also played in different big bands. Anders is also a drum teacher at the Cultural School of Malmoe.
